This week was a whirlwind of good food, family time and reality television. Season 46 of Survivor came to a wonderful close with my personal winner pick, Kenzie, pulling out a great victory. Ru Paul's Drag Race All Stars Season 9 continues to amaze me, and 90 Day Fiancé continues to confuse me.
This week also included a fun night planning our upcoming girls' trip to Tulum, a much needed hair cut (almost five inches of damaged hair has been lopped off!), and a trip up to Laguna Beach for my grandpa's memorial service.
Before heading up north, my sister and her husband and I enjoyed a delicious meal at Jomaru in Convoy. Jomaru is a traditional Korean hot pot restaurant and was a perfect meal on a slightly chilly day.

Our meal was super good and really comforting. The three of us shared the 2-person Gam Ja Tang and had them use the remaining soup to make delicious fried rice. We definitely had enough food for three people, so the 2-person meal was a good deal.

Here is the Jomaru Yelp Page if you want to see more.
The good food theme continued through the weekend after my sister and I made the drive up to Laguna Beach to see our family and celebrate my grandpa's life. I got to use my industry knowledge from my countless hours consuming baking show content at breakfast at Moulin Laguna Beach, a cute French cafe.

They had a bunch of cute French pastries and champagne to choose from. We all got various coffee drinks and my chicken pesto sandwich was a good start to the morning.

Before we headed to Leisure World to enjoy some folk dance and stories about my grandpa, my cousin and my sister and I stopped for banh mi sandwiches at TTH in Westminster.

Despite the sad circumstances, it was really nice to see my cousins and my family, and it made me excited for my cousin's wedding in June. I even participated in some of the folk dances in honor of my grandpa. It was awesome to see how much he influenced the folk dance community across the world and I know his legacy will live on through us and them.
Bonus: in addition to good food, family time meant my stinky, little, one-eyed, dog brother Kingsley blessed us with his presence and I had to share this photo with you all. I know he needs braces.

See you next week.
